Tonight I decided to have a family Movie Night. With my husband we discussed movies to pick from, and in the end I chose The NeverEnding Story. It was a new movie for all of us. It wasn't too bad, but the kids didn't like it - it was scary for them. I understand. I personally didn't like the ending of the story: the boy had fantasy, that's alright. But in real life, he didn't grew.
After we tucked the kids in, I read the Wikipedia article on the movie and also the book it is based on. The original story by Michael Ende is a bit more rounded, though the boy doesn't grow there, either. Bummer.
